While traditional physical therapy focuses on regaining basic mobility within a set number of sessions, this program utilizes specialized strength and agility training to ensure you are truly prepared for the demands of the game.

Your Timeline
Pre-Surgery
  • Post-injury and Pre-Surgery
    • Goals: 
      • Understand what to expect following ACL injury
      • Quadriceps Neuromuscular control work
      • Restore Range of Motion (ROM)
      • Restore gait pattern
    • Assess Baseline strength testing of the contralateral side.
Surgery
Early Rehab
  • Restore ambulation
  • Restore ROM (Range of Motion)
  • Restore quad control
  • Start building strength and muscle mass
  • Start functional strength training
Middle Rehab
  • Start building single leg strength and control 
  • Introduce dynamic movements 
  • Introduce running
Late Rehab
  • Progress to higher impact activities
  • Progress to sprinting
  • Introduce sport specific training patterns 
  • Restore limb symmetry
Level 1 Sports Ready
  • Goals:
    • Continue to build single leg strength
    • Build single leg jump height
    • Build competition specific patterns
  • Assessments:
    • Completed 1x/4-week session by PT
Level 2 Sports Ready
  • Goals:
    • Maximize single leg strength, power, and acceleration/deceleration abilities
  • Assessments:
    • Completed 1x/4-week session by PT
High Level Competition
  • Unrestricted participation in sport
  • Meeting or exceeding pre-injury strength levels
