To maximize your recovery process and promote healing, our knowledgeable staff may utilize any of the proven techniques below.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a safe and effective treatment for reducing pain and inflammation, especially for patients looking to avoid surgery or medications. This technique can be used alone or with other therapies and uses a low-level laser light to regenerate tissue and accelerate the healing process. The amount of laser therapy treatments needed depends on the severity of the condition. It is a great option for those seeking an alternative to invasive treatments.

Dry Needling

This specialized technique uses a “dry” needle, one without medication, to stimulate the healing process of soft tissues, including muscle “trigger points”, tendons and ligaments. Almost anyone experiencing some form of pain, from tendinitis to chronic injuries, can benefit from dry needling. Our therapists are trained to safely administer this treatment in order to relieve your pain.

The SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) is a movement-based diagnostic system, designed to clinically assess seven fundamental movement patterns in patients with musculoskeletal pain. This assessment allows physical therapists to find the underlying cause of symptoms. Unlike the SFMA, the FMS (Functional Movement Systems) is not a diagnostic system. It is used to evaluate patients’ movement patterns to determine potential risks for injury.

Astym® is a physical therapy treatment that addresses the cause of your pain by restoring healthy, soft tissues and eliminating or reducing unwanted scar tissue that may be causing pain or movement restrictions. Rather than just temporarily relieving pain, Astym® can resolve the underlying cause of soft tissue dysfunctions. The Astym® treatment can be done on patients of all ages and on most physical therapy injuries.

Graston Technique®

Graston Technique® is a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) that allows our team to effectively treat scar tissue and fascial restrictions and improve range of motion. This unique technique uses stainless steel instruments to address soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

The XRTS™ Effort Assessment™ is a cross-reference testing system used to scientifically determine how much effort a patient is putting into their treatment and how well they are cooperating with their physical therapist. This allows decisions about the patient’s course of treatment to be made objectively.
